Blue Screen Of Death
Practically synonymous with the perceived poor reliability of Windows, the Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD) is more commonly caused by code that was not written by Microsoft at all, such as a device driver written by a hardware manufacturer. This is the screen you’ll see when Windows crashes.
Though indecipherable to regular users, they normally give a pretty good indication of what’s wrong to an experienced technician. Macs get these screens too; they just aren’t blue, and have no technical information on them, making them utterly useless for diagnostic purposes.
