Sometimes we in IT Support can be critical of users who find fault too quickly. You know the sort; if they’ve pressed print and their work hasn’t been spat out of the printer 3  seconds later, they call the technician. Or perhaps you will watch them open Photoshop and then have to listen to them complain loudly about how slow the computer is when it doesn’t load up as fast as Notepad. Patience is a virtue these people have not yet discovered.

On the other hand, it can be equally frustrating when people put up with a problem for too long. When someone brings in their laptop, which has been running outrageously slowly and overheating, and they tell you it’s been doing it ever since they got it 5 months ago, you really do have to despair at how some people clearly have no idea how to solve their own problems on a day-to-day basis.
