A tragic and extremely unfortunate juxtaposition of news stories today:

This week, Apple became the world's most valuable tech company in terms of share price. So, how did they do it?

Well, by having their suppliers work their employees to death, apparently.

    Indeed.

    The idea of corporate responsibility seems to have eluded Apple.

    I fear, however, that Apple is one of millions of firms worldwide that turn a blind eye to the terrible state of workers in supply factories.

    Oops – you missed out Dell and HP in Foxconn’s list of clients (among others). Fourth paragraph down. Just at the end. I’m sure this was just an oversight.

      There are plenty of other smaller clients too, but I didn’t list them either as none of the others were big news that day, so their patronage was not notable in the context I was highlighting.
